    Vintage gelatin silver, single and double weight, glossy finish photos. Starring Mary Astor, Jack Holt, Ricardo Cortez, Sidney Toler, Kitty Kelly. Directed by Melville W. Brown. This lot contains photos for White Shoulders, The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938),The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939), Road to Glory (1936), Romance of the Underworld (1928), North West Mounted Police (1940), Happy Landing (1937), Limehouse Blues (1934), Two Weeks Off (1929), and an autographed photo of Russell Hewitt (1930s). Unrestored photos that display signs of use. May include light edge wear, creasing, small tears, pinholes, surface scuffs and blemishes, minor paper loss, pinholes, signs of surface checking, mild rippling, unobtrusive stains and smudges, and some toning. The photos for The Adventures of Robin Hood and The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex has studio snipes on the verso, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex has a photographer stamp for Bert Six on the verso, and there is a photographer indention stamp for Elmer Fryer in the photo of Russell Hewitt. The photo of Russell Hewitt is signed, "Sincerely Yours, Russell Hewitt." Heritage believes the signature in this lot to be authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is included. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details.
