Blood and Diamonds by Rodolfo Gasparri (Titanus Distributors, 1977). Very Fine. Original Mixed Media Concept Artwork on Illustration Board (24.5" X 11.5").
A Heritage first, offered here is original concept artwork for the Italian crime thriller Blood and Diamonds starring Claudio Cassinelli, Martin Balsam, and Barbara Bouchet. With the same basic design as the Italian poster for the film, famed Italian artist Rodolfo Gasparri created this rather lurid piece of art using acrylic paints and a photographic overlay of Barbara Bouchet adhered to the blood-spattered grip of a gun. This piece would make an excellent addition to the collection of any fan of the violent crime thrillers released in Italy during the 1970s. The artwork has a few very faint scuffs and smudges, and there are a few minor stains in and near the borders. The overlay has a couple of light scuffs, and it is starting to separate from the illustration board at the bottom of Barbara Bouchet's left leg.
