Crime and Punishment (Columbia, 1936). Very Fine+ on European Linen. Swedish One Sheet (27.25" X 39.25") Moje Aslund Artwork.
Heritage is pleased to present this vibrant Swedish one sheet for the first time, featuring a fantastic Art Deco portrait of stars Peter Lorre and Edward Arnold by artist Moje Aslund. It was Lorre's second time to take the lead in an American film, playing Fyodor Dostoevsky's guilt-stricken murderer, Raskolnikov. Though he may the star of the production, Lorre took a back seat to costars Edward Arnold and Marian Marsh on the US one sheet, where Lorre receives second billing and appears nowhere on the poster. Although backed on linen, this Swedish one sheet has received no touchup to a diagonal crease in the lower right corner and a minor unobtrusive stain in the top border. The linen has been trimmed to the edges.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
