DescriptionCreature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). Rolled, Fine. Trimmed Italian Locandina (13" X 24.5").
An icon in the realm of cinematic horror, Jack Arnold's Gill-Man stands tall among some of the most popular monsters in Universal's impressive repertoire, considered an equal to such longtime favorites as Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man. Received with widespread praise, this dark tale of an Amazonian expedition-turned-nightmare has thrilled viewers for decades since its initial release and is the reigning king of 1950s creature features. Making its Heritage debut, this Italian locandina shows such indications of use as edge and fold wear, pinholes, creases, and small tears. There are chips at the edges, toning, unobtrusive stains, as well as a trim across the imprint area. The verso has strips of paper tape serving as splices in addition to pieces of masking tape with tape stain bleedthrough.
Estimate: $1,200 - $2,400.
