DescriptionConflict (Warner Brothers, 1947). Folded, Very Fine-. First Post-War Release Italian Foglio (27" X 39") Luigi Martinati Artwork.
Italian artist Luigi Martinati provided his deft touch creating this rare Italian poster, with Humphrey Bogart and Sydney Greenstreet hovering around the beguiling Alexis Smith. Bogart is a devious killer, and Greenstreet must prove his guilt. Warner Brothers used a duotone photo montage for the U.S. market posters, making this Italian version far more appealing. This colorful poster has torn pinholes in the borders, corner bends, edge wear, and small crossfold separations. There is a chip in the top left corner, and two splices in the right border and lower right corner. It also shows a pinhole in Sydney Greenstreet's eye and a small hole to the right of his image. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
