Description

Confessions of a Nazi Spy (Warner Brothers, 1939). Linen Finish Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
The first openly anti-Nazi film from Hollywood prior to WWII was this tale of FBI agent Edward G. Robinson and his crusade to bring down a ring of Nazi spies operating in America. An indication of the success and influence of the film was the report that Adolf Hitler had plans to execute the filmmakers when he won the war. The title card and one scene card have pinholes in the corners. A couple have corner bends. One of the cards has a tear in the right border into the background with a chip in the lower border. Five of the cards have orange paint on the verso along the borders, some of which has offset on some of the cards. Fine/Very Fine.
