Description
Thunderball (United Artists, 1965). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41.75"). Jetpack Style, Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis Artwork. One of the defining entries in the James Bond franchise, Thunderball stars Sean Connery in his fourth outing as Agent 007 in a globe-trotting adventure involving stolen nuclear warheads, high-tech espionage, and the criminal organization SPECTRE, helping elevate the series into an international cinematic phenomenon known for its scale and spectacle. Considered the preferred style among collectors, this outstanding one sheet features vibrant artwork by Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy, with the especially desirable detail of Bond's jetpack extending beyond the green border. Somewhat heavy airbrushing, slight touchup, and a couple of areas of replacement have addressed fold wear, exacerbated pinholes, creases and handling wear, fold separation, and a few chips, surface lifts, and tape stains. Thanks to these efforts, it now presents well.
