This elegant French half grande poster promotes Le Monde Artiste: Journal Illustré, a weekly illustrated publication devoted to music, theatre, and the fine arts, offering theatrical news from around the world. The design features charming artwork by Jules Chéret, whose signature Belle Époque style is on full display in the graceful, violin-playing figure surrounded by theatrical motifs. Professional restoration, including airbrushing and carefully applied touchup and replacement, has corrected edge and fold wear, creases, tears, some chips, slight staining, and a couple of areas of paper loss.
