Description

Frankenstein (Universal, R-1947). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14.25").
From the legendary Universal Monsters canon, this dramatic reissue title lobby card for Frankenstein captures one of the most indelible images in cinema history, featuring the unforgettable visage created by makeup artist Jack Pierce for Boris Karloff-a design that became the definitive global interpretation of Mary Shelley's creature. This example has been linen backed and received restoration which includes airbrushing and touchup to address tears, chips, pinholes, and general wear-resulting in an impressive and highly displayable piece.
