World War II Propaganda (British and American Ambulance Corps, 1942). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Propaganda Poster (14" X 20") "Loose Talk Can Cost Lives," C.C. Beall Artwork.
This World War II poster by C.C. Beall, produced for the British and American Ambulance Corps, Inc., depicts two men conversing casually over beers while Adolf Hitler eavesdrops in the background, underscoring its warning-"Don't be a dope and spread inside dope. Loose Talk Can Cost Lives"-and urging wartime vigilance, discretion, and support for ambulance fundraising efforts. A restored poster that displays signs of use. Airbrushing to the corners has addressed pinholes and tape stains, while touchup to the upper right background has addressed a couple of scratches. A few minute areas of tape stain remain. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
