Offered here is a powerful vintage poster from the American Red Cross's "Third Red Cross Roll Call" campaign, held from November 2-11, 1919. Featuring the iconic "Greatest Mother in the World" image by Alonzo Earl Foringer, the poster shows a compassionate Red Cross nurse cradling a wounded soldier-a striking symbol of care and sacrifice. With the message "Make Our American Red Cross in Peace as in War," this piece urged Americans to continue supporting the organization's vital postwar relief efforts. A moving artifact of post-World War I history, it captures the enduring humanitarian mission of the Red Cross in both wartime and peace. Touch-up has been applied along the borders to address minor tears and chipping, with additional restoration to correct a large chip in the upper right corner. Some flaws such as pinholes and some toning still remain visible. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
