World War I Propaganda (Edwards & Deutsch Litho. Co., 1917). Fine on Linen. 2nd Liberty Loan Poster (20" X 30") "Women! Help America's Sons Win the War," R.H. Porteus Artwork.
Presented here is a poster promoting the Second Liberty Loan campaign, aimed at funding the U.S. war effort during its first year of involvement in World War I. The artwork depicts a woman standing before an American flag, urging passersby to contribute to the national loan drive. A restored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. Light touchup has addressed slight creases and tears of varying lengths, including one near complete tear that reaches from the top border to the "d" of "2nd." A couple of pinholes with gouges remain. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
