World War II Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1942). Very Fine- on Linen. OWI Poster No. 11 (28.25" X 38") "This is Nazi Brutality," Ben Shahn Artwork.
Offered here is a powerful poster from the Office of War Information, shedding light on the Nazi massacre of Lidice, Czechoslovakia. A reprinted memo on the atrocity is starkly emblazoned across the dark imagery of a shackled man with a bag over his head, reinforcing the gravity of the event. A restored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. Touchup has addressed fold wear, pinholes with tears, minor creases, and small crossfold separation. Other fold wear and a few minute surface lifts remain. Additionally, a couple of chips along the borders/at the corners have been replaced. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades.
