Offered here is a compelling group of vintage French posters spanning political reform, cultural change, and national promotion. The first is a 1936 propaganda poster celebrating the Matignon Agreements, which established the 40-hour work week and introduced paid vacations, while encouraging leisure travel via discounted rail fares promoted by the French State Railways.

Also included is a campaign poster for the first direct elections to the European Parliament, held on June 10, 1979, featuring artwork by Jean-Michel Folon, known for his dreamlike, surreal imagery. Rounding out the lot is the "Bons du Trésor" poster by Guy Georget, depicting a stylized tricolor rooster-an enduring symbol of France-promoting government treasury bonds in a bold mid-century design.

Unrestored posters have good color and an overall very presentable appearance. They may have edge and handling wear, toning, paper tape on the verso, tears, pinholes, chips, creasing, and unobtrusive smudging.
