Dubonnet Vin Tonique Au Quinquina & Other Lot (ca. 1910s). Rolled, Fine/Very Fine. French Advertising Poster on Linen (10" X 13.5") & Rolled Social Welfare Poster (14" X 21.75"). Advertising.
Presented in this lot is a a vibrant Belle Époque French advertising poster for Dubonnet, depicting Bacchic revelers crowned with foliage enjoying the aperitif to evoke festivity, indulgence, and pleasure. Included in this lot is a 1924 American social welfare poster by the National Child Welfare Association depicting a city rising through clouds alongside a solemn call for collective civic responsibility. A restored and an unrestored poster that display signs of use. May include some edge and corner wear, visible creases and handling wear, smudges, toning, graphite markings to the French advertising poster, and rippling to as well as strips of paper tape at the corners of the social welfare poster. Although the French advertising poster was backed on linen, no additional restoration has been applied. The majority of the wear in this lot is in the social welfare poster.
