Too Many Millions (Paramount, 1918). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Wallace Reid plays an impoverished young man who inherits a sizable fortune from two uncles who have acquired their fortunes through ill-gotten means, including foreclosing on a woman and her father. While spending lavishly and foolishly, as portrayed on this wonderful stone litho poster, he encounters the woman, who demands he give her two million dollars. When he attempts to do so, he discovers his secretary has absconded with all the funds! Reid had an amazingly successful career until he was injured on set and became addicted to morphine and died a tragic death. Prior to the excellent restoration, this poster had two tears at the top going into the blue background, and fold wear. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
