    Description

    Three Stooges (Columbia, 1937). Fine+ on Linen. Promotional Poster (28" X 42").
Presented by Heritage for the first time, this poster is from a promotional event held at local theaters advertising one of the early product tie-ins done by The Three Stooges in the mid 1930s. One of three known copies, this poster was owned by Stooge Moe Howard and previously offered for sale by Joan Howard Maurer, Moe's daughter. This poster advertises a chance at winning a "Moving Picture Machine," a cardboard, easy to assemble hand cranked device, which came with two sets of pictures. This poster has benefitted from professional restoration to slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, vertical creases, and a few tears, including a couple of mirrored tears at the upper and lower horizontal folds. The top right white background has been lightly airbrushed and the other borders have some airbrushing as well.
