Thirst (Triangle-Keystone, 1919). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27.75" X 41.5").
Mack Swain, perhaps best remembered as the villain in The Gold Rush (1925), stars in this comedy short. Swain joined Mack Sennett in 1913, when Sennett, several years before, started the Keystone Film Company. Sennett hired not only Swain but Charlie Chaplin, Fatty Arbuckle, Mabel Normand and some of the greatest names in silent film history. In this film Swain is the "hunted" renter in the boarding house and Eve Thatcher is the landlady looking for her rent. Prior to professional conservation the poster had a couple of small chips in the borders. There has also been touchup to slight fold wear and some slight color enhancement in a few small areas.
