    Description

The Three Stooges in Three Little Pirates (Columbia, 1946). Autographed Lobby Card (11" X 14").
World famous comedy clowns The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard) bring laughs to the screen with this hilarious comedy. Here, the trio find themselves washed up on Dead Man's Island, where the inhabitants believe the year to be in the 1600's. It isn't long before Curly, who turns in a particularly hilarious performance, upsets the governor by putting the moves on his fiancée (Christine McIntyre). Sentenced to death, the three must try to escape the island, leading to comical scenes that include an attempted break-out with an electric drill, and dressing Curly up as a Maharaja. Due to a stroke on the film following this, Three Little Pirates would turn out to be Curly's second to last film. Offered is a terrific lobby card that not only features each stooge, but is also signed by the threesome. Prior to restoration, the lobby card had staple holes in the corners, and some creasing in the borders. Touchup work has addressed these issues. Three Stooges collectors will not want to pass up the opportunity to own this rare and signed lobby card. Heritage is unsure if any of the autographs on this card are authentic, though we feel the Moe and Larry Fine are most likely real. The Curly signature is suspect due to his poor health from the time of the release of the short. No COA is offered with this rare card. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
