The Seven Year Itch (20th Century Fox, 1955). One Sheet (27" X 41").The Asphalt Jungle put her on the map. Gentleman Prefer Blondes made her a star. But The Seven Year Itch made Marilyn Monroe an icon. Adapted from George Axelrod's Broadway play, with Tom Ewell reprising his Broadway role, Billy Wilder's sophisticated and witty film is one of his best. Best known for the definitive performance of the radiant Monroe with a little girl's giggly voice (her 23rd film), she portrayed the blonde bombshell known simply as "The Girl." Light touchup included minor fold wear, a few pinholes into the interior, a couple of mild tears in the upper right background, and two small chips in the bottom corners. Very Fine- on Linen.
