A part of the Fighting Hearts series starring Alberta Vaughn, proudly presented here for the first time in our history is this one sheet The Lightning Slider, a silent two-reel sports comedy that follows the chaotic events surrounding an annual baseball game between the rival towns of Oceanville and Hilldale. When Oceanville's star pitcher, Harry, is kidnapped by a crooked gambler determined to fix the game in Hilldale's favor, his friends Jerry and Tom embark on a comedic rescue mission. At the last moment, Harry breaks free, rushes to the game, and delivers a dramatic home run, followed by another from Sally, securing both the victory and a financial windfall for her father. Blending baseball action with slapstick humor, The Lightning Slider offers a lighthearted and entertaining glimpse into silent-era sports comedies. Airbrushing, touchup, and some replacement throughout have corrected edge and fold wear, pinholes, creases, fold and crossfold separation, significant tears, and some chips.
