The Bell Boy (Paramount, 1918). One Sheet (28" X 41").
Fatty Arbuckle and Buster Keaton are bellboys in Elk's Head Hotel. As fans of these two silent comedic film legendaries can surmise, they do a poor job with their duties, causing great irritation but delivering great laughs at the same time. This is one of the few films in which Keaton smiles, and although this beautiful stone litho one sheet does not capture it, the poster does feature the two funnymen, Keaton at the top of the ladder and Arbuckle at the bottom, attempting the rescue of a hotel guest (a scene that is not in the film). We are unaware of any of the other Arbuckle posters for those co-starring Keaton, to picture him. An incredible find from the silent comedy genre, this one sheet displays exceeding well after careful professional restoration. Touchup was performed to the folds, one pinhole in the right and bottom border, and small tears near Keaton's leg. A Heritage first and never previously seen at auction. Very Fine- on Linen.
