    Description

The Bank Dick (Universal, 1940). Title Lobby Card and Lobby Cards (3) (11" X 14").
Chock full of laughs, W.C. Fields wrote the script for Bank Dick, one of his final and best films, under his pen name Mahatma Kane Jeeves. Offered in this lot is the fun title card depicting star Egbert Souse (Fields), a trifling husband who is given a job as a bank detective where he accidentally captures a crook. Also included in the lot are outstanding scene cards, that due to restoration display superbly. The borders have had some touch up to address pinholes in the borders, and the title card also previously showed a pinhole in the upper right background and a small tear in the right border. One card had a slight chip in the bottom left corner border, one had a small tear in the bottom left corner, and all three scene cards had a single pinhole in the upper right background. The cards display like new and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. Fine/Very Fine.
