    Description

    The Awful Truth (Columbia, 1937). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style B.
When filming of this screwball comedy began, no firm script had been developed, leaving Irene Dunne and Cary Grant to improvise much of the dialogue. Initially, Grant was so intimidated by this prospect that he asked to be replaced on the film. Director Leo McCarey wouldn't let him out of the contract, which was quite a lucky break, as the film was nominated for six Academy Awards. A charming image of the two leads in soft color fills this rarely offered Style B one sheet, a must-have for fans of the ad-libbing Grant! Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
