    My Lucky Star (20th Century Fox, 1938). One Sheet (27.5" X 41") Style A.
My Lucky Star was Norwegian ice skating Olympic champion Sonja Henie's fourth film. In this romantic comedy, Henie works in a department store as a clerk, and is "discovered" by the owner's son, Cesar Romero, while ice skating. The smitten Romero gets Henie an athletic scholarship at a major university, and instructs her to stroll around campus in the store's expensive sports gear. His plan backfires when other students shun the store out of jealousy, and Henie falls in love with one of her professors (Richard Greene). The Style A one sheet has not been previously offered by Heritage, and this copy is in highly presentable condition. It features a dazzling portrait of Henie and Greene, and has retained rich color. Restoration has addressed chips in the borders, a chip at the center cross fold, pinholes in the corners with one torn in the top left, fold separations, a tear in Henie's hair, the bottom border into the credits, bottom left background, and along the top vertical fold. Fine+ on Linen.
