    Marx Brothers Lot (Various, 1940s-1980s). Autographed Photo (8" X 10"), Autographed Restrike Photo (8" X 9.75"), Restrike Photo ( 8" X 10"), Press Photos (5) (Approx. 7" X 9"), Trimmed Press Photos (3) (Approx. 6.25" X 9", 7.75" X 7.75", 7.25" X 9.25"), & Fan Club Photos (2) (5" X 7"). Comedy.
    Vintage gelatin silver, black and white, single and double weight, glossy, matte, and restrike photos featuring the Marx Brothers, from such films and television shows as A Night at the Opera (MGM, R-1948), The Colgate Comedy Hour, The Wonderful World of Toys, Person to Person, The Best of Groucho Marx, and The Groucho Show. Also included are press photos with Harpo Marx, Lucille Ball, Danny Kaye, and Hedda Hopper by photographer Murray Garrett and Carol Burnett and Harpo Marx, and 2 small fan club photos of Chico Marx. Unrestored photos with overall very presentable appearances. They may have edge wear, creases, tears, pinholes, surface scuffs and blemishes, chipped and trimmed borders, surface checking, stains and smudges, and/or some mild toning. Two press photos have been prepped for publication with touchup and writing in the photo. Three photos have attached studio snipes and/or publication/photographer credit ink stamp marks on the verso. The photo and restrike photo from A Night at the Opera are signed "Best wishes, Kitty Carlisle" and "Kitty Carlisle, Best wishes." Heritage believes the autographs in this lot to be authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details.
