Description
Little Whirlwind (RKO, 1940). One Sheet (27" X 41").Mickey Mouse faces off against a tenacious and troublesome little twister in this delightful animated Walt Disney short. Directed by Riley A. Thomas Jr., who had worked on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Fantasia, the short marks the last appearance of Mickey's red button-down shorts, which would not appear again until 1995's Runaway Brain. Other changes include updated ears, a larger head, hands, and feet, and a slimmer body. Early posters featuring Mickey are always in high demand, a testament to the immense popularity of the world's most famous mouse. This playful one sheet perfectly captures the nature of the short, as it features Mickey attempting yard work while a tornado lifts him in the air. Prior to restoration, the poster had pinholes in the borders, a small tear in the left border, and a tear in the upper edge at the fold. There is a small chip in the lower right corner, a tiny chip in the upper edge, and a chip in the center horizontal fold. Touchup work has been done to the folds. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
