    Description

Life of Brian (Orion, 1979). Australian Daybill (13" X 28"). Picketed, praised, and parodied, this Monty Python film presents the provoking talents of all five Pythons in multiple parts. It features cameos by Spike Milligan (who happened to be on holiday in Tunisia where the filming was taking place, utilizing sets left over from the 1977 miniseries "Jesus of Nazareth") and Beatle George Harrison (without whom the film would not have been made — since Harrison set up Handmade Films to help fund it after the subject matter scared off the original backers, EMI). John Cleese, Terry Gillian, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Graham Chapman created their irreverent story of a hapless young man born "a few stables away" from Jesus, and his frustrating attempts to find some way to fight the Roman occupation. This colorful daybill has some tape at the lower edge, a corner chip, and an almost transparent corner where a layer of paper on the back was lost to tape. Otherwise, it's in wonderful condition. Fine.
