Laurel and Hardy Lot (Various, 1950s-1990s). Photos (5), Color Glass Slide Reprints (3), Restrike/Reproduction Photos (35), Photo Prints (2), & Post Card (Approximately 8" X 10"); Herald (7" X 10"), & Stationary (18 Pages, 8.5" X 11"). Comedy.Offered in this lot is a plethora of items and images related to your all-time favorite comedic duo - Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy - including photos from The Golden Age of Comedy (1957 & 1958), The March of the Wooden Soldiers (R-1950) Original Title: Babes in Toyland, and The Crazy World of Laurel and Hardy (R-1971), along with a herald for a 1932 screening of Bonnie Scotland at the Fern Rock Theatre in Philadelphia, color prints made from vintage glass slides for Wrong Again (1929), Leave 'em Laughing (1928), and The Battle of the Century (1927), a color lobby card reprint for Way Out West (1937), stationary in the style of Hal Roach Studios in the 1930s, and all sorts of restrike and reproduction photos from classics like Sons of the Desert (1933), Block-Heads (1938), and many more. John Wayne even makes an appearance in The Fighting Kentuckian (1949). Unrestored vintage gelatin silver, color, and black and white, single weight, glossy finish photos and other items with clean overall appearances. They may show general signs of use, such as slight edge and corner wear, light creases, unobtrusive smudges, limited stains, faint surface blemishes, small tears, or very minor paper loss. The two DCA-released photos for The Golden Age of Comedy show additional signs of creasing, surface checking, and toning. This lot contains a duplicate restrike photograph. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Overall Grade: Very Fine.
