Laughing Heirs (UFA, 1933). Small German Window Card (9.25" X 14.75").
Released in 1933, Lachende Erben (Laughing Heirs) was the last film directed by famed director Max Ophüls in Germany before he fled the country to France after the Nazis took power. In point of fact, it was banned from being shown in 1937. As might be imagined, original poster material from Ophüls' early German career, let alone country of origin material, is extremely scarce, and rarely if ever, comes up for auction. This rare original German window card has stains in the top border and upper image area, pinholes in the corners, and small corner bends. Fine+.
