    Description

Horse Feathers (Paramount, 1932). Very Fine- on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 80") Sam Berman Artwork.
This fabulous three sheet is an absolute must-have for fans of classic comedy. Brightly colored and exceptionally rare, the poster depicts the Marx Brothers in one of their funniest films made at Paramount. Groucho is cast as the new president of the down and out Huxley College, which hasn't won a football game in over forty years. After conferring with son Frank (Zeppo), who has been a student at Huxley for twelve years, he goes out to recruit two hot shot football players at the local speakeasy, but instead ends up signing Baravelli (Chico) the bootlegging ice man, and Pinky (Harpo) the dog catcher. With a little luck, and a lot of cheating, the gang manages to pull off a victory against rival Darwin College in a gag-filled football sequence at the climax of the film. Showcasing excellent stone litho printing, this three sheet has received touchup to slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, and small chips and tears. There was also a tear from the top edge of the middle panel through the right side of Harpo's hair. The poster looks very nice after airbrushing to the borders and white background.
