    Horse Feathers (Paramount, 1932). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
By 1932, the zany antics of the Marx Brothers had gained incredible popularity throughout the country and made the four brothers into major stars. This was their fourth film for Paramount and found the brothers (led by Groucho as Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff) at Huxley University staging a football game against their arch rival Darwin U. We don't think Chico and Harpo would qualify for actual NCAA scholarships as football players, but they did make their rival game one of the greatest games in college football history! This three sheet is nothing less than spectacular. Paramount called it "the comical cartoon treatment." What it really is, is one of the most impressive three sheets for the original four Marx Brothers we've ever seen. Large format paper for any of the Marx Brothers' films is extremely rare and virtually non-existent. This example had very light airbrushing in the borders and along some of the fold lines. The poster was printed in three sections and there was minor tearing along those sections where they were joined. There is a nine inch tear in Harpo's hair and some restoration in Chico's face along one of the fold lines. The same applies to Zeppo in the bottom panel. All of these issues were addressed with professional restoration and this poster now appears very clean. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
