Description

Cracked Nuts (RKO, 1931). Insert (14" X 36").
In a plot faintly reminiscent of the later Marx Brothers film Duck Soup, the comedy team of Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey wind up on different sides in a South American revolution, Woolsey as the newly crowned king of the mythical country (he won it in a poker game) and Wheeler as the financier of the revolution. The film also stars the usual third member of the comedy duo, Dorothy Lee, comedy legend Ben Turpin, and a pre-Frankenstein Boris Karloff. Heritage has never before offered any paper from this pre-Code RKO comedy. The poster shows surface wear with some soiling, spots of paint in the title area, a nick in the left border, wear in the upper fold with museum tape on the verso, and staining. Folded, Fine-.
