    Description

    Chicken a la King (Fox, 1928). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Based on the play "Mr. Romeo" this silent comedy stars Arthur Stone as a well-to-do society swell who falls for bubbly chorus girl (Nancy Carroll, in one of her earliest roles) much to the dismay of his prudish brother-in-law. This gentleman's disapproval ends when he meets some of the pretty girls of the show. George Meeker and Ford Sterling co-star. This rare stone litho one sheet is sensational, and one of the earliest images of Carroll. The poster shows only minor issues of pinholes in the top corners, light edge wear at the left, a small tear in the top right corner, and slight surface wear in the image area. There is a minor crossfold separation and two corner bends. Fine/Very Fine.
