Charlie Chaplin (1931). Framed Autographed Inscription with Photo (17" X 21").
One of the most iconic and important figures in the history of cinema, Charlie Chaplin has brought joy and inspiration to movie going audiences the world over. Recognized by many for his screen persona, "The Little Tramp," Chaplin poured his heart and soul into the craft of filmmaking, often serving as writer, director, producer, editor, and star of his own pictures. Several of his films, such as Modern Times, The Great Dictator, City Lights, The Gold Rush, and more, are brilliant and unquestioned classics that continue to delight audiences and display the genius of this comedy legend. This lot features a framed inscription signed by the filmmaker on a 3" X 5" card that reads, "The best of luck, Charlie Chaplin. May 2nd 1931." It comes beautifully framed with a delightful 9.5" X 10" reprint photo from the short, Sunnyside. An absolute must for Chaplin collectors. Very Fine.
