    Description

    Bab's Diary (Paramount, 1917). One Sheet (28" X 41").
The first in the trilogy of "Bab" films based on the writings of Mary Roberts Rinehart, Bab's Diary stars Marguerite Clark. The actress did not begin her film career until she was 31, but her age was masked by her girlish appearance (similar to Mary Pickford). Clark had a string of successful films in the 1920s, was one of the highest paid actors of the decade, and even created her own production company. In this silent comedy, Bab (Clark) is a spoiled young lady home for Christmas from boarding school whose imagination causes quite a stir. A Heritage first, the stone litho one sheet offered here has been expertly restored to address chips and tears in the border and within the poster. A superb find for fans of silent cinema! Very Good+ on Linen.
