A New Kind of Love by Ercole Brini (Paramount, 1963). Fine/Very Fine. Signed Original Mixed Media Artwork on Illustration Board (18.75" X 26.75") used for Italian 4 - Fogli.
A romantic comedy starring real-life husband and wife Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, this picture entertained audiences with witty dialogue and good direction from Melville Shavelson. Well-known for his expressive artwork, Ercole Brini became a top Italian poster artist with designs for Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sunset Boulevard, Roman Holiday, Funny Face, Rosemary's Baby, and many more. Brini's bold brush strokes bring Newman and Woodward to life with vivid color. Signed by the artist, this piece displays slight edge wear, pinholes, corner bumps, and a couple of minor paper lifts. Also visible is scattered foxing and some thin surface scuffs. The white paint in Woodward's dress has chipped in some places.
