    Description

Columbia Exhibitor Book (Columbia, 1943). Exhibitor Book (14 Pages, 10.25" X 15"). Miscellaneous.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more colorful exhibition book than this beauty! It folds out to display 3 to 8 titles on 15" X 20.5" pages in saturated color photos. Page three has 16 top stars in 3.5" X 4" color photos, including Rita Hayworth, Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, Claire Trevor, Paul Muni, Irene Dunne, and others. There is an 8" X 20.5" side page which features 32, 2" X 2", color photos of the next tier of stars like Ann Savage, Adele Mara, Judy Canova, Joan Davis, Jess Barker, Bruce Bennett, Penny Singleton, and others. Inside are terrific 7" X 15" knockout photos in poster form for My Friend Curley with Cary Grant (which of course became a much blander title of Once Upon a Time), Rita Hayworth in Cover Girl, a fascinating project that never happened...Cary Grant and Rita Hayworth in Gone are the Days, a damsel in a sexy red dress being menaced by a green faced villain and a fang-baring bat for Vampires of London (which became The Return of the Vampire), and a scary art rendering of Beyond the Grave which must have appeared as another title. There's a nice page on Charles Starrett and Russell Hayden westerns, and the inside back cover has a full color art rendering of The Three Stooges announcing them in 8 upcoming films for the 1943-1944 season. The top part of the front cover when unfolded has color sections on top serials, The Batman, The Fighting General, and The Phantom. The cover has foxing, smudges, and a chip in the lower left corner. There are some loose pages and some spine wear. Fine/Very Fine.
