College (United Artists, 1927). Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14") Hap Hadley Artwork.
American silent comedy icon Buster Keaton plays Ronald, the athletically inept college student. Ronald attempts to woo the love of his life by joining the ranks of the jocks on campus. In the film we see Buster Keaton's character attempt almost every sport known to man. Football was the lone exception, as scenes shot were edited out of the picture to avoid conflict with Harold Lloyd's new pigskin-centered release. Both cards have creases, small stains, and pinholes. One card has had slight touchup to the pinholes, and still shows a small, unaddressed tear at the bottom with cellophane tape on the verso. The other card has a couple of dust shadows, as well as a minor chip in the top left corner with some surface paper loss. Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
