    Description

City Streets (Paramount, 1931). One Sheet (27" X 41") and Herald (9" X 6"unfolded). Gary Cooper stars as "The Kid," an ambitious carnival worker who gets drawn in to the underworld by mob boss Pop Cooley (Guy Kibbee). Cooper is in love with the mobster's daughter (Sylvia Sidney), whose been railroaded into prison by the henchman's crooked cohorts. Director Rouben Mamoulian uses innovative camera techniques to produce this interesting gangster drama. There is one tear that goes through the "R" of the title, a few smaller tears, several creases, and some small holes. The poster has been professionally restored, greatly minimizing these defects. This is an exceedingly rare poster that features a terrific shot of a young Gary Cooper silhouetted against a dark, atmospheric background. This is one of the full bleed Paramount posters which were produced by the studio for a short time in the 1930-31 period. A duo-tone herald is included in this lot. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
