    Description

Cimarron (RKO, 1931). Folded, Very Fine. Insert (14" X 36") Fredric C. Madan Artwork.
This sprawling epic of Oklahoma from the land rush of 1889 until the crash of the stock market in Osage Oklahoma, made this adaptation of Edna Ferber's novel the Best Picture of 1931. Richard Dix and Irene Dunne would both be nominated as well. Posters on this title have always been hard to come by making this offering of the insert a rare event. The artwork by Madan is also exceptional. It has been folded with some extra creases on the folds. These have been pressed out and museum tape applied to them on the verso. There is light edge wear and staining on the borders, and pinholes at the top.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
