DescriptionChristopher Strong (RKO, 1933). Very Fine on Paper. One Sheet (27.5" X 41"). From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
Katharine Hepburn stars as a strong-willed aviatrix in love with a married British nobleman (Collin Clive), a role that perfectly channeled her real-life persona. Against their better judgment, the two throw caution to the wind, and engage in an affair with consequences far beyond the wrecking of a marriage and career. A dramatic portrait of the star-crossed lovers fills this very rare and gorgeous one sheet. Light touchup has been applied to parts of the folds and a couple of pinholes. Still visible are unaddressed and unobtrusive stains and smudges in the borders. There are slivers of paper loss in the upper and lower borders from when the paper was trimmed to the edges.
Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
