    Description

    Casablanca (Warner Brothers, 1942). Very Fine. Spanish Heralds (2) (6.5" X 4.75" Closed, 6.5" X 9.5" Opened).
Without a doubt, these are two of the best and most unique heralds made for this beloved classic. Issued in Spanish language, they work perfectly as a pair together, each one designed to look like a French Moroccan passport. One features Paul Henried and the other features Ingrid Bergman, the husband and wife team who flee Casablanca with the letters of transit. These herald "passports" are both signed in the interior with the printed signature of Captain Louis Renault, the Prefect of Police in Casablanca, adding to the illusion of being official documents. These heralds show light edge and spine wear, slight creases, unobtrusive foxing, and faint stains. Very Fine.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
