    Description

Captain Blood (Warner Bros.- First National, 1935). Very Good/Fine on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Errol Flynn became a star with this glorious adventure film, co-starring Olivia de Havilland and directed by Michael Curtiz. Considered by most film buffs as one of the greatest swashbucklers ever made, it looked bigger budget than it was by using footage from Warners' silent version of The Sea Hawk. This half sheet features a classic shot of Flynn as Peter Blood, forced to become a pirate after being falsely accused of being a traitor to his country. Professionally conserved, this extremely rare half sheet has had such issues addressed as some small chips, tears into the interior, and surface wear in the image and title. There was paper loss along the left border that has been replaced, and the poster has had airbrushing in the borders and background.

    Estimate: $2,500 - $5,000.
