DescriptionCaptain America (Republic, 1944). One Sheet (27" X 41") Chapter 2 --
"The Mechanical Executioner."
Dick Purcell is Captain America in this, the first screen appearance of the hero based on the popular DC comic book. In this serial adventure, the evil Scarab, a villain who poisons those who oppose him, steals a device with the capability of destroying buildings through sound vibrations, and it's up to the super hero to stop the criminal and bring him to justice. Lorna Gray, Lionel Atwill, and Charles Trowbridge co-star in this WWII chapterplay. This Chapter 2 one sheet displays good color and shows edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, pinholes in the interior, and small tears. There are also extra vertical folds, unobtrusive stains, and a dust shadow along the bottom border. The poster has some cellophane tape on the verso crossfolds, but this does not show through to the front.. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
