    Britain's Day (1918). Folded on Linen, Fine+. Trimmed British Poster (27.75" X 39.75") Carton Moore-Park Artwork.
Before December 7th became ingrained in the psyche of the American people in 1941 when Pearl Harbor was bombed, that day was known as "Britain's Day" in celebration of the United Kingdom's part in the victory of the Great War, now known as World War I. This gorgeous stone litho poster by British artist Carton Moore-Park honors Britain through the imagery of Britannia, Lions, and Neptune, a symbol for the British Navy, one of the foremost navies in the world. Signs of age include edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, minor tears, and some creases. There are also faint smudges, unobtrusive foxing, as well as a small bit of ink writing in the lower right corner. The right border has a thin paper lift and has been slightly trimmed. After being backed on linen this poster was folded. Folded on Linen, Fine+ .

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
