    Description

Breakfast at Tiffany's (Paramount, 1961). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41.25"). Robert McGinnis Artwork.
For his very first film poster commission, artist Robert McGinnis (Thunderball, Barbarella, etc., and a veteran of over 1200 paperback covers), delivered this splendid and now indelible image of Audrey Hepburn as "Holly Golightly" coyly posing in her iconic Givenchy gown. Hepburn shines as the emotionally fragile Golightly, who doesn't know what she wants from life. Based on the novella by Truman Capote, this loose adaptation is the perfect blend of romance, intelligence, humor, and sophistication. Directed by Blake Edwards and set against the backdrop of 1960s New York. Touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, small tears, and a minor top right corner chip. There appears to have been some staining that has been addressed with partial airbrushing in the borders and background.
