    Blondie (Columbia, 1938). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Sparking an incredibly popular series that ran from 1938-1950, this picture was the first of twenty-eight films centering on Chic Young's famous comic strip, starring Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake, Larry Simms, Jonathan Hale and Gene Lockhart. The one sheet seen here - which we have never offered before - is distinguished by the fantastic cartoon art that wholly dominates this poster, drawn in Young's classic style. In fact, it is the only paper we have sold for the film that is composed entirely of artwork, without photographs of the human actors. Professional restoration has addressed edge and fold wear, pinholes in the borders, and some small chips in the borders and folds. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
