    Description

Blonde Crazy (Warner Brothers, 1931). One Sheet (27" X 41").
James Cagney plays an amoral bellhop who uses girlfriend Joan Blondell to swindle various "sugar daddies" out of their cash with his con games. But Cagney winds up being outplayed by sharpster Louis Calhern. Blonde Crazy is one of Hollywood's raciest pre-Code films with wonderful wise-cracking chemistry between the stars. Original posters from it are virtually non-existent. Offered here is the extremely rare one sheet, with fantastic stone litho art of Cagney and Blondell. Prior to professional restoration the borders were trimmed, including an additional 1/8" of the red background on the right side. There was a small tack hole in the top right corner, and a few pinholes in the background. None of these issues affected the terrific artwork, and have been addressed with expert restoration. This rare gem is sure to be a dramatic highlight to any top poster collection. Fine- on Linen.
