Darktown Strutters (New World, 1975). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Blaxploitation. Starring Trina Parks, Shirley Washington, Roger E. Mosley. Directed by William Witney. Lots of fun things going on with this colorful poster. First, that's Trina Parks, "Thumper" from "Diamonds are Forever," in the white pants outfit. Ms. Parks was the first African American woman featured in a James Bond movie. Second, the great artwork is by top artist John Solie ("Ryan's Daughter"). And third, as a real plus, this is a rare poster appearance by top Motown group, The Dramatics ("Whatcha See is Whatcha Get", "Me and Mrs. Jones"). Soft folds, mild corner creases and wrinkles.
